MERERA THERAPEUTICS · GENEVA
Pioneering precision-engineered therapeutics to expand women’s reproductive choices.
01 / OUR MISSION
Women have gained greater freedom to decide when to pursue education, careers, relationships and motherhood. Yet female reproductive ageing continues to impose biological constraints on those choices.
At MERERA Therapeutics, our mission is to develop innovative treatments that address age-related declines in egg quality, with the goal of improving IVF outcomes using women’s own oocytes.
We aim to make genetic motherhood a possibility for more women, including those who currently face repeated unsuccessful IVF cycles or the prospect of donor eggs.
02 / OUR SCIENCE
Addressing age-related infertility at its biological source.
Age-related decline in oocyte quality is driven in part by chromosome segregation errors during meiosis, contributing to aneuploidy and reduced reproductive potential.
MERERA is developing precision-engineered protein therapeutics designed to preserve chromosome integrity during oocyte maturation. Our approach aims to address the underlying biology of egg quality, rather than focusing solely on ovarian stimulation or embryo selection.
Preclinical research. Functional efficacy and clinical benefit have not yet been established.
